Location and Venue

Both the conference and the Adjoint School will be located at the University of Maryland, College Park campus. The Adjoint School will be held in the Brendan Iribe Center on the fourth and fifth floors. The conference will be held in The Edward St. John Learning and Teaching Center, rooms 1224, 1215, and 1309.

  • (DCA) Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (17 miles/27 km). To get to UMD by metro, take the blue line, transfer to the green line at L'Enfant Plaza, get off at College Park-UMD Metrorail Station. From there you can take a bus or Uber/Lyft.
  • (BWI) Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (26 miles/42 km). To get to UMD, you can take an Amtrak train from the BWI station to New Carrollton. From there you can take a bus or Uber/Lyft.
  • (IAD) Dulles International Airport (37 miles/60 km). To get to UMD by metro, take the silver line, transfer to the green line at L'Enfant Plaza, get off at College Park-UMD Metrorail Station. From there you can take a bus or Uber/Lyft.
Information about the metros and busses in the DC area can be found on the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority website. Please pay attention to the timetables if you are arriving very late or very early. A portion of the DC Metro Green Line, which connects College Park to DC, is going to be closed for construction during the conference. There will be shuttle buses running every 10 minutes.
